WHAT IS OUR ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE

The Movement operates a two-tier structure, the Management (Governance) and administrative structure. The Administrative structure (Operational) is responsible for the co-ordination and implementation of the programmes and activities of the Movement.

 

The Management structure is responsible for the governance of the Movement; taking decisions on the programmes and activities of the Movement and makes all policies for the effective organization of the Movement. The management structure comprises:

• The National Co-ordinating Council
• Regional Co-ordinating Council
• District Co-ordinating Council
• Chiefdom Co-ordinating Council

 

The Administrative Structure is responsible for the day to day running of the National, Regional and District Secretariat including the coordination and implementation of the programmes and activities of the Movement at every level. The National Secretariat superintends the general administration of the Movement and is head by National Co-ordinator.

 

The Movement holds assemblies at various levels:

• National
• Regional
• District
• Chiefdom

 

These assemblies are the policy-formulating forums of the Movement.

 

The Operational structure is broken down into working committees. Through the establishment of working committees comprising civil society groups with interest and/or speciality in the areas designated under the committees’ terms of reference, there is ownership of the process. These working committees form the major channels for the execution of programmes of the Movement. These committees include:

• Social and Economic Justice
• Governance and Citizenship
• Youth Empowerment
• Peace and Development Initiative
• Health Promotion and Awareness
• Human Rights Affairs
• Children and Gender Affairs
