Organisational Structure
What is our Organisational Structure?
The Movement operates on a two-tier structure, consisting of the Management (Governance) and administrative arms. The Administrative structure (Operational) is responsible for coordinating and implementing the Movement’s programs and activities.
Management
The Management structure is responsible for the governance of the Movement; taking decisions on the programmes and activities of the Movement and makes all policies for the effective organization of the Movement. The management structure comprises:
- The National Co-ordinating Council
- Regional Co-ordinating Council
- District Co-ordinating Council
- Chiefdom Co-ordinating Council
The Movement holds assemblies at various levels:
- National
- Regional
- District
- Chiefdom
These assemblies are the policy-formulating forums of the Movement.
Administrative
The Administrative Structure manages the day-to-day operations of the National, Regional, and District Secretariats, including program coordination and implementation at every level. The National Secretariat oversees the general administration and is headed by the National Coordinator.
The Operational structure consists of working committees, which play a vital role in executing the Movement’s programs. By involving civil society groups with relevant interests and specialities, there is a sense of ownership in the process.
The working committees include:
- Social and Economic Justice
- Governance and Citizenship
- Youth Empowerment
- Peace and Development Initiative
- Health Promotion and Awareness
- Human Rights Affairs
- Children and Gender Affairs
- Research and Documentation
